Exceptional Greek coin depicting Athena wearing a winged crested helmet (left) accented with 18k gold balls and bail. 18" sterling silver, long and short chain.  

A walking lion on the reverse. Dates from 305-290 BC from Ancient Greece, city of Velia in Lucania, which is near Southern Italy. A temple dedicated to Athena still stands in Paestum, Italy and was built during the same era as the coin was minted.
